Phone & Tablet Repair
Cracked screens, dying batteries and charge ports full of pocket lint, for Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. iPhone, Samsung, Google and most other brands, including the soldered and board-level work the rest of the Triad sends away. Mail it in, drop it off, or book a house call. Every number below is a starting price and moves with the model.
Screens
iPhone screen, iPhone 8 through 11
Cracked glass or a dead display on an iPhone 8, X, XR, XS or 11. Starts at $79 and moves with the model. These are aftermarket panels, not Apple parts, and I tell you which one is going in before I order it.
from $79iPhone screen, iPhone 12 through 14
Aftermarket OLED for iPhone 12, 13 and 14. Base models start at $139 and Pro Max models start higher because the panel costs more. On these generations the phone can show a parts notice in settings after a non-Apple screen goes in. I say that up front instead of letting you find it later.
from $139iPhone screen, iPhone 15 through 17
Aftermarket OLED for iPhone 15, 16 and 17. Base models start at $189 and Pro Max starts at $279. You will see $79 advertised locally for an iPhone 15 screen. That is an in-cell LCD, which is a different part and looks different in use. This price is an aftermarket OLED and I will tell you exactly which panel is going in. Apple charges $279 to $379 with a genuine panel, and if you specifically want the genuine part I will tell you to go to Apple rather than mark one up.
from $189Samsung Galaxy S screen
Galaxy S21 through S25 base models start at $199. Ultra models I do not price, and here is why. Samsung repairs an S24 Ultra for $259 and an S25 Ultra for $279 with a genuine panel, available in North Carolina by walk-in, mail-in or their come-to-you service. There is no cheap aftermarket panel at the Ultra tier, so I cannot beat that and I am not going to pretend I can. Go to Samsung for an Ultra.
from $199Samsung Galaxy A-series screen
Galaxy A15, A54 and the rest of the A line. Starts at $89. There are two panel options on most of these, a cheaper in-cell LCD and a Samsung service pack OLED, and I will tell you which one is going in and what each costs.
from $89Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip inner screen
I do not do these. The inner folding panel is a specialist assembly and Samsung repairs it directly for $249 on a Z Flip7 and $449 on a Z Fold7, or $329 and $589 for a full module. Go to Samsung. There is no charge for me to tell you that.
No charge, referred outBatteries and charge ports
Phone battery replacement
Battery replacement for iPhone, Samsung and most Android phones. iPhone 8 and older start at $69. iPhone X through 13 and Samsung flagships start at $89. iPhone 14 and newer start at $99. If your phone is slow and dies at 40 percent this is usually all it needs.
from $69Charge port, plug-in flex type
Phones through iPhone 13 and a lot of Android use a charge port on a flex cable that unplugs. iPhone 8, X and Samsung S21 or S23 start at $89. iPhone 11 is $109. iPhone 12 and 13 are $119, because on those the whole display, battery, taptic and Face ID flex have to come out to reach it.
from $89Charge port soldered to the board
iPhone 14 and newer, and most current Samsung, have the charge port soldered to the logic board. That is a microsoldering job, not a parts swap, and no shop in the Triad publishes a price for it. Apple does not repair the port at all, they replace the phone starting at $549. I replace the port. Starts at $149.
from $149Glass, cameras and liquid damage
Back glass, iPhone 12 through 14
Cracked back glass on iPhone 12, 13 and 14 comes off with a laser and gets replaced with a real panel including the logo. Starts at $149. Apple charges $349 to $549 on these generations because they effectively swap the whole housing.
from $149Samsung back glass
Cracked rear glass on a Galaxy S21 through S25. Base models start at $109 and Ultra models start at $129.
from $109Phone rear camera and camera glass
Smashed camera lens glass, a blurry or shaking rear camera, or a camera that will not focus. Starts at $79. On iPhone 15 and newer the camera can be reused after replacement without a calibration penalty, and on older models a replacement camera may show a parts notice.
from $79Phone liquid damage treatment
Flat $99 to open the phone, clean the board with ultrasonic and isopropyl, remove corrosion, reassemble and test. If a component on the board is dead after the clean, I tell you what it is and quote that work separately before I touch it. Apple's answer to a wet phone is a $269 to $799 replacement.
from $99Board-level work
iPhone Face ID and dot projector flex repair
Face ID that stopped working after a screen repair or a drop, or a Face ID flex that was cut during a previous repair somewhere else. This is board and flex work with the original components kept, because Face ID cannot be transplanted from another phone. Starts at $199. Apple's answer is a whole-phone replacement.
from $199Phone board-level repair, iPhone 11 and older and most Android
No power, boot loop, no touch, no backlight, dead audio, dead camera. This is component-level work on the logic board and there is no shop in Greensboro, Winston-Salem or High Point advertising it. iPhone 11 and older and most Android start at $175. The $65 diagnostic is credited in full toward the repair.
from $175Phone board-level repair, iPhone 12 and newer
Same work on iPhone 12 and newer. Starts at $299 because the boards on these are stacked and have to be separated and rejoined. iPhone 15 and newer starts at $449. National mail-in specialists charge $250 to $800 for this.
from $299iPads and tablets
iPad screen
iPad glass and screen replacement. An iPad 7, 8 or 9 starts at $149. Newer iPads where the glass and LCD are fused into one assembly start at $259. Apple does not sell an iPad screen repair at all, a cracked iPad is priced as a replacement starting at $299.
from $149iPad and tablet battery
Battery replacement for iPad and most Android tablets. Starts at $129. iPads are glued shut and the glass has to come off with heat before the cell can be reached, which is why this costs more than a phone battery.
from $129Fees, hours and service area
Diagnostic
$65, credited in full toward the repair. Nothing is charged if I decline the job, refer it out, or cannot recover your data. If you get a quote and decide not to proceed, the $65 covers the bench time.
$65House call
$149 covers the trip and the first hour on site, then $125 an hour. The radius is 25 miles from High Point 27265, which takes in all of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Past 25 miles it is $1 a mile counted both ways, and I tell you that number before I leave.
from $149Hours and service area
